Design

Built for things people actually use.

Sites, marks and merch, done by the same hand that draws the hardware. Everything here is live, on a building or on someone’s back.

Web

Sites that do a job.

One page where one page is enough. Fast, readable, and built so the owner can leave it alone.

  • The KB Welding home page

    KB Welding

    Client

A fabrication shop in Lancaster. One page, built to get the phone to ring.

  • The Hemlock Lab home page

    Hemlock Lab

A product studio run by two robotics engineers. One ships software, the other puts up buildings.

  • The Lucid Break home page

    Lucid Break

The front door for a quiet thinking tool. Paper, serif, no noise.

  • The Joel Wells home page

    Joel Wells

A personal site. Who is behind all of this, in one scroll.

  • The Squareone Creations home page

    Squareone Creations

This site. The holding page for everything on the bench.

Brand

Marks that leave the file.

A logo is finished when it holds up on a sign, a mug and a sticker without anyone touching it again.

The Marble and Steel Craft Chocolates logo

Marble and Steel Craft Chocolates

Client

A chocolatier's mark: a steel scraper set on marble, the two things the name promises. It had to work on an awning, a mug and a business card without changing.

  • The Marble and Steel sign above the shop door
    On the storefront
  • Marble and Steel mugs on a marble shelf

  • Trailhead Werks

A trail marker, a mountain, a waypoint. It is open to interpretation on purpose, and drawn to survive a laser cutter.

  • Lucid Break

Two letters in a serif, nothing else. The mark is the restraint.

  • GearVote

A gear with a vote in the middle, for a site that counts what owners report.

Merch

Worn, stuck on, sewn on.

The Squareone line, printed and shipped through the Trailhead Werks store. Shirts, a hoodie, a patch and a sticker.
